Cinnamon-Crusted Apples

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. water
  • 5 medium apples
  • 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. softened margarine

Instructions

  1. Coat an 11 x 7 x 2-inch casserole dish with cooking spray. Pour water in dish.
  2. Peel, core and slice apples; arrange apples in dish.
  3. Coat apples lightly with cooking spray.
  4. Combine the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; cut in margarine with blender until mixture is coarse like corn meal.
  5. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
  6. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes, or until apples are tender.
