- Coat an 11 x 7 x 2-inch casserole dish with cooking spray. Pour water in dish.
- Peel, core and slice apples; arrange apples in dish.
- Coat apples lightly with cooking spray.
- Combine the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; cut in margarine with blender until mixture is coarse like corn meal.
- Sprinkle evenly over apples.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes, or until apples are tender.
