Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix cornstarch, salt, and milk in a small saucepan.
  2. Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
  3. Cool the cooked mixture.
  4. Cream the sugar, butter, Crisco, and vanilla until well combined.
  5. Add the cooled cooked mixture to the creamed ingredients.
  6. Beat until the icing looks like whipped cream and is thickened.
