Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. alum
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • food coloring

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, salt, oil, alum, water, and food coloring in a mixing bowl, one ingredient at a time.
  2. Knead the mixture like dough until it is well mixed and pliable.
  3. Store the clay in plastic bags to keep it moist and extend its shelf life.
  4. If the clay dries out, add a few drops of water at a time and knead until restored to the desired consistency.
