  • medium cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup pickling salt
  • 3 tablespoons alum
  • 3 tablespoons pickling spices
  • vinegar (pure apple cider)
  • sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large gallon jar or crock, pack as many cucumbers as you can get.
  2. Make a brine of the pickling salt, alum, and pickling spices.
  3. Cover the cucumbers with apple cider vinegar.
  4. Put the lid on tightly and let set for 6 weeks.
