Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 pound Kraft caramels
  • 5 cups cornflakes

Instructions

  1. Place margarine, milk, and caramels in a large saucepan.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until the caramels are melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add cornflakes and mix well until coated.
  5. Press the mixture evenly and gently into a buttered 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan with the back of a spoon.
  6. Let it cool and set, then cut into bars when firm.
