Ingredients

  • 2 c. cornmeal
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 chopped onions (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
  • 1 tsp. mustard

Instructions

  1. Mix this
  2. together
  3. in a
  4. bowl and pour in just enough boiling water to make a fairly stiff dough.
  5. Wad in small flat pones and drop on top
  6. of
  7. cooked
  8. turnip
  9. greens. Cover
  10. and simmer.
