Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla flavoring
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar, sugar, and sour cream in a pan.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sugars are dissolved.
  3. Continue cooking until a medium soft ball forms when tested in water.
  4. Remove from heat, add vanilla flavoring and pecan halves.
  5. Stir until a light sugar coating begins to form on the nuts.
  6. Turn out onto wax paper.
  7. Separate nuts by hand as you place them on the wax paper.
  8. Let cool before serving.
