Ingredients
- 3 cups heavy cream - 6 egg yolks - 1/3 cup of sugar - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 1/3 cup packed br sugar ⓘ
Instructions
- in med saucepan over med heat,- heat cream until tiny bubbles form around edge - in lg saucepan beat yolks & sugar until blended - slowly stir in cream - cook over med/lo heat - stir constantly until mix coats back of spoon (avg 15 min) - stir in vanilla - pour into 1 1/2 quart dish - refrig 1 - 3 hrs before next step - preheat broiler - sift br sugar on chilled mix - broil 2 - 3 mins until sugar melts - brake crust (keep in refrig)
