Ingredients

  • 6 cups cabbage
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 bacon slices
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Coarsely chop the cabbage.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the bacon slices until crisp, about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Pour off bacon fat from the skillet.
  4. Return 2 tablespoons of bacon fat to the skillet.
  5. Add the chopped cabbage, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover and cook for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring once.
  7. Crumble the cooked bacon over the cabbage and serve.
