Crockpot Black Beans

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, weight Dried Black Beans
  • 3 cups Water
  • 6 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 whole Small Onion, Minced
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • Salsa, Shredded Cheese, Or Green Onions As Toppings

Instructions

  1. 1.
  2. Pick out any bad beans or rocks.
  3. Put them into a colander and wash the dry beans.
  4. Place them into a pot and cover with at least 2 inches of water.
  5. Let them soak 8 hours or overnight.
  6. 2.
  7. Drain water and place the drained beans in a crockpot.
  8. Add the remaining ingredients.
  9. 3.
  10. Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
