- 1.
- Pick out any bad beans or rocks.
- Put them into a colander and wash the dry beans.
- Place them into a pot and cover with at least 2 inches of water.
- Let them soak 8 hours or overnight.

- Drain water and place the drained beans in a crockpot.
- Add the remaining ingredients.
- 3.
- Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
