Curried Okra

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. bacon grease
  • 1 lb. okra, sliced
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 1/2 c. chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp. curry powder
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Saute onion and celery in the bacon grease. Add the okra and cook about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and cook about 30 minutes.
