Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add yolks and beat well.
- Add the flour gradually, mixing well.
- Add vanilla and nuts.
- Spread 1/2 batter into a greased 8 x 8 pan and top with preserves.
- Cover with remaining batter and bake 1 hour or until top crust is light brown at 325 degrees.
- Cool well before cutting.
