Instructions
- Mix shortening, sugar and boiling water in bowl.
- Let stand until cool or lukewarm.
- Stir in eggs and dissolved yeast.
- Add to mixture.
- Stir in flour; add salt.
- Work with hands for 30 minutes. (This is now done by the mixer on low before all flour is added.)
- Grease a bowl and place the dough into it.
- Use a very large bowl to allow for raising.
- Cover with a wet cloth and a loose-fitting lid.
- Leave in refrigerator overnight.
