Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup applesauce
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 18 oz. light low-fat cake mix

Instructions

  1. Mix cake mix, water, applesauce, and egg whites in a large bowl. Beat on low until moist; then beat on high for 2 minutes.
  2. Pour the batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan or into two 9-inch round pans sprayed with cooking spray.
  3. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
