Ingredients

  • 6 pared, sliced apples
  • 1 (6 oz) can frozen apple juice
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 c water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 unbaked pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Fill the pie shell with sliced apples.
  2. Heat the apple juice to boiling.
  3. Dissolve cornstarch in water.
  4. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the hot apple juice and cook until thickened.
  5. Add cinnamon and nutmeg to the juice mixture.
  6. Pour the juice mixture over the sliced apples in the pie shell.
  7. Dot the filling with butter.
  8. Cover with the top pie crust.
  9. Bake at 425°F for 45 minutes.
