Ingredients

  • 1 can diet cola
  • 1 fryer (approximately 2.5 pounds)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken on a sheet cake pan and cut a triangle from its rear.
  2. Rub salt and white or black pepper onto the chicken skin.
  3. Open the can of diet cola and remove the tab.
  4. Place the chicken over the can of cola, positioning it securely.
  5. Pour the remaining cola and chicken into the sheet cake pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. If the fryer is larger, extend baking time by 15 to 30 minutes.
