Ingredients

  • small green tomatoes
  • 1 large head dill or 2 smaller dill heads
  • 2 or 3 cloves garlic

Instructions

  1. Wash and stem the green tomatoes, ensuring they have not started to turn color.
  2. Place a large head of dill or two smaller ones in the bottom of a 1-quart jar.
  3. Fill the jar with uncut green tomatoes, leaving about 1 1/2 inches of space from the top.
  4. Add 2 or 3 cloves of garlic to each jar, along with another head of dill.
