Dilly Beans(Canning Recipe)

Ingredients

  • 4 lb. green beans
  • 6 Tbsp salt
  • 3 cups white vinegar
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp dill seed or 1 fresh head dill per pint
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seed per pint
  • 3 whole peppercorns per pint

Instructions

  1. Trim beans and remove strings.
  2. Combine salt, vinegar and water.
  3. Bring to boil.
  4. Add seasonings to each clean hot jar.
  5. Pack beans in jars; cover with boiling liquid, leaving 1/2-inch head space; seal (beans must be completely covered by liquid).
