Easy Bread Clay

Create charming, lightweight clay objects resembling bread using simple ingredients. Ideal for kids' crafts, decorations, or fun artistic projects with a soft, doughy texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice white bread
  • 1 Tbsp white glue
  • 1/4 tsp water
  • food coloring
  • clear glaze or clear nail polish

Instructions

  1. Cut or tear crusts from the bread and discard.
  2. Pour white glue onto the slice of bread, then add water.
  3. Knead the mixture until it doesn't stick to fingers, about 10 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into parts and add food coloring to each, kneading until blended.
  5. Work with only a small piece of clay at a time.
  6. Shape objects as desired.
  7. Allow to dry overnight.
  8. Once dry, spray with clear glaze or paint with clear nail polish.
