Ingredients

  • 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. sweet milk
  • 1/2 c. molasses (or 1/4 c. molasses and 1/4 c. wheat germ)
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. unbleached flour (or 1/4 c. flour and 1/4 c. wheat germ)
  • 2 c. whole wheat or graham flour
  • 1 c. seedless raisins

Instructions

  1. Mix all together in bowl with spoon.
  2. Pour into loaf pan.
  3. Bake 1 hour at 350°.
  4. Pan need not be greased, but invert pan on rack when done to let steam loosen it.
