Golden fried apple pies with flaky biscuits filled with sweet applesauce and cinnamon, perfect for a quick dessert or snack that appeals to all ages.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Butter Me Not biscuits (10)
  • 1 (32 oz.) jar natural applesauce
  • cinnamon
  • sugar

Instructions

  1. Open canned biscuits and take out 1 biscuit.
  2. Place the biscuit on a floured pastry sheet and roll out into a 6-inch circle.
  3. Put 2 tablespoons of applesauce on the center of the biscuit.
  4. Sprinkle 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of sugar and cinnamon over the applesauce.
  5. Fold the biscuit over the filling and press the edges together with a fork to seal.
  6. Heat an iron skillet on medium and melt 2 tablespoons of butter-flavored Crisco.
  7. Place the filled pie in the skillet and cook until browned on both sides.
