Ingredients

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp. cold water
  • 1 lb. (4 c.) pecan halves
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Beat egg white slightly; add water.
  2. Beat until frothy, but not stiff.
  3. Pour over pecans in a large bowl, stirring until nuts are coated.
  4. Mix sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Sprinkle over pecans; mix well.
  6. Pour into a buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  7. Bake at 250°F for 1 hour.
  8. Stir the nuts once or twice during baking.
