Ingredients

  • 1 package miniature marshmallows
  • 1 box cake mix (any kind)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Pour one package of miniature marshmallows into the prepared pan.
  3. Mix your chosen cake mix according to the package instructions and pour over the marshmallows in the pan.
  4. Do not stir after pouring the cake batter over the marshmallows.
  5. Drop canned prepared fruit pie filling by spoonfuls evenly over the cake mixture without stirring.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. The surprise is in the combined flavors and textures, no frosting needed.
