Ingredients

  • 1 pint milk
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cake yeast
  • 1/4 cup lukewarm water

Instructions

  1. Add flour to lukewarm milk and beat until smooth.
  2. Add salt, melted butter, and yeast, then beat well.
  3. Let the batter rise until it doubles in size.
  4. Place greased muffin rings on a hot griddle and fill half full with batter.
  5. Cook until the batter sets, then turn and cook the other side until golden.
  6. Repeat with remaining batter.
