Ingredients

  • 2 bunches spinach or turnip greens
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon flour
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop greens.
  2. Bring water and a pinch of salt to a boil.
  3. Add greens and cook until tender.
  4. Drain and squeeze all the water out.
  5. In a frying pan, melt butter.
  6. Add flour, salt, and pepper.
  7. Stir; add greens and mix well for about 1 minute.
  8. Serve hot with meat or fish dishes.
