Ingredients

  • 2 (10 oz.) containers of pitted dates
  • 2-1/2 cups assorted nuts, raisins or other dried fruit
  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1-1/2 cups dry powdered milk
  • Coconut flakes

Instructions

  1. Ensure you have more nuts than dried fruit, such as pistachios, almonds, cashews, or pecans.
  2. In a food processor, blend the pitted dates until they form a sticky paste.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the date paste with the assorted nuts, dried fruits, sweetened condensed milk, and softened butter.
  4. Add the dry powdered milk to the mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Shape the mixture into small logs or balls.
  6. Roll the formed pieces in coconut flakes until coated evenly.
  7. Place the date rolls on a tray and refrigerate until firm before serving.
