Failproof Rice Pilaf

- Use large 4 quart (no stick) pan which has been sprayed with oil on bottom and around sides.
- Melt margarine and Crisco over high heat and add the Shirea cooking until golden brown stirring occasionally.
- Add the rice and stir until all grains have been coated (approximately one minute).
- Add the boiling water and stir. When water returns to rapid boil, put tight lid on pan, reduce heat to lowest setting and let steam for about 1/2 hour.
- Lift lid, stir just one time, replace lid and let stand for another 15 minutes still on lowest heat.
- Stir again and serve.
