Ingredients

  • 16 oz. loaf frozen white bread dough
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Thaw the bread dough according to package directions and cut into 12 pieces.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each piece into an oval about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook 1 or 2 bread pieces at a time in the hot oil for 45 to 60 seconds per side, or until the dough is browned.
  5. Remove the fried bread ears with tongs and drain on paper towels.
  6. Mix sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle over the hot fried ears.
