Ingredients

  • 10 egg yolks
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 pt. rye or bourbon whiskey
  • 1 qt. heavy cream
  • 10 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolks and sugar.
  2. Add whiskey slowly, stirring constantly.
  3. Continue stirring and add cream, then stiffly beaten egg whites.
  4. Chill and top each serving with nutmeg.
  5. Yield: 20 to 25 servings.
