Instructions
- Have shortening at room temperature.
- Cut it into the flour and salt.
- Add egg and vinegar and part of the water.
- Be certain water is cold and use only enough to make a firm ball.
- Chill if you wish.
- Roll into 2 crusts.
- If it seems easier to roll on wax paper, then do so.
- Never stretch the crust when fitting to the pan.
- For soft pies, prick crusts and bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
