Ingredients

  • 1 lb. potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/4 c. chicken broth
  • pastry for single crust 9-inch pie
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. dried sage
  • 3 c. diced, cooked ham (12 oz.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°.
  2. Butter a deep 2-quart casserole.
  3. Layer potato slices in bottom of casserole.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, sage and nutmeg.
  5. Continue layering and seasoning ham, onion and apples.
  6. Pour broth over all.
