Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. melted shortening or salad oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Combine egg, milk and shortening.
  2. Add sifted dry ingredients. Stir smooth.
  3. Bake on ungreased griddle.
  4. (Pour batter from a 1/3-cup measure for even size.)
  5. Makes 9 flapjacks.
