Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1 tsp. peppermint extract
  • 1/3 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. (1 lb.) confectioners sugar, sifted
  • food color

Instructions

  1. In

  3. bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat margarine, corn
  4. syrup,
  5. peppermint extract and salt until smooth. Add confectioners
  6. sugar
  7. all at once with wooden spoon, then with hands
  8. mix until
  9. smooth. Turn out onto board and knead until mixture
  10. is
  11. well
  12. blended and smooth.
  13. Tint with food color
  14. and form
  15. into desired shapes, such as rosebuds, calla lillies or daisies.
  16. Store in cool place.
  17. Makes 1 1/2 pounds.
