Ingredients

  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups Crisco shortening
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. With a fork, mix together the flour, shortening, sugar, and salt.
  2. In a separate dish, beat together the vinegar, egg, and water.
  3. Combine the two mixtures with a fork until all ingredients are moistened.
  4. With your hands, mold the dough into a ball.
  5. Chill the dough for 15 minutes before rolling into shape.
  6. Use as needed to make 3-4 pie crusts.
  7. Store in the refrigerator or freeze.
