Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar, lemon extract, sifted flour, and salt; mix well.
  3. Roll the dough onto foil or wax paper, forming a log.
  4. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
  5. Slice the chilled dough into 1/2-inch thick slices.
  6. Place slices on a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
