Ingredients

  • white sandwich breadcrumbs
  • complete pancake mix
  • vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Cut each slice of bread into 4 strips.
  2. Make pancake batter as directed on the box, using a little less water for a thicker consistency.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep-fryer or large frying pan.
  4. Dip each bread strip into the batter to coat thoroughly.
  5. Deep-fry the coated bread strips until golden brown on each side.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar or serve with your favorite syrup.
