Ingredients
- 2 quarts boiling water ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 1 3/4 to 2 cups pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon mace ⓘ
- 5 whole cloves ⓘ
- 2 medium sweet potatoes ⓘ
- 1 1/2 cups sugar ⓘ
- 12 ounces orange juice (do not use concentrate) ⓘ
- 2 liters diet Slice ⓘ

Instructions
- Bring 2 quarts of boiling water to a boil in a large saucepan.
- Peel and slice the sweet potatoes.
- Add the sliced sweet potatoes to the boiling water.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt and cook until the potatoes are soft.
- Drain the potatoes.
- Puree the cooked sweet potatoes in a blender until smooth, aiming for about 2 cups of puree.
- In a large pot, combine pineapple juice, fresh lemon juice, orange juice, and diet Slice.
- Add cinnamon, nutmeg, mace, cloves, and sugar to the mixture.
- Heat the mixture until hot but not boiling, stirring occasionally.
- Garnish with orange, lemon slices, or strawberries before serving.
