Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sticks oleo
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Use an 8 x 11 1/2-inch glass pan.
  2. Melt the butter (oleo).
  3. Combine the brown sugar, plain flour, and chopped nuts to make the crust mixture.
  4. Press the crust mixture to the bottom and sides of the prepared pan.
  5. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and crumble the crust; let it cool.
  7. Press the cooled crust back into the pan and spread with two cans of cherry pie filling mixed with 4 tablespoons of water.
