Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • sweet milk

Instructions

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
  2. Rub in with fingertips the butter.
  3. Add enough milk to make a soft dough. Roll out in sheet form about 1/2-inch thick and dot with butter. Cover with sliced peaches; sprinkle with brown sugar and roll as a jelly roll.
  4. Cut in uniform pieces about 2 1/2 or 3-inches wide. Place in buttered pan and pour the following sauce over same.
