Ingredients

  • 2 lb. green chiles (fresh)
  • 2 lb. yellow chiles (fresh)
  • 1 lb. jalapenos (fresh)
  • 2 cans small tomato sauce
  • 1 can large stewed tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 2 large tomatoes

Instructions

  1. In a large frying pan, cook all the chiles until black on each side, then cut chiles down the middle and remove all the seeds. Dice chiles very small.
  2. Put the diced chiles into a large saucepan.
  3. Chop onions and tomatoes very small.
  4. Add the chopped onions and tomatoes to the pan with the chiles.
  5. Add the Pace salsa to the ingredients in the pan.
  6. Add tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, and 1 cup of water to the pan.
  7. Let simmer for about 1 hour.
  8. Add about 1 tablespoon of garlic salt.
  9. Mix all ingredients well before simmering.
