Fried Drumsticks

Instructions
- Put drumsticks in bowl.
- Pour buttermilk over and turn to coat each piece.
- Marinate in refrigerator an hour.
- Combine dry ingredients in plastic bag.
- Add drumsticks and shake until coated.
- Melt shortening in electric fryer on medium-high heat. Add drumsticks and cook until lightly browned, turning frequently. Reduce heat to low.
- Cover and cook 20 minutes, turning frequently.
- Remove cover.
- Cook on medium-high heat for 3 minutes to get crisp.
- Drain on paper towels.
