Instructions
- Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Combine cake mix, butter, nuts, and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
- Press half of the cake mixture into the prepared pan and bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Melt the caramels with the remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk; spread over the baked layer.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the caramel layer, then add the remaining cake mixture over the chocolate chips.
- Spread lightly to cover the top.
- Bake for an additional 20 minutes at 350°F. Allow to cool before cutting.
