German Style Beans

Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 (53 oz.) can pork and beans
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375°.
  2. Fry bacon until crisp.
  3. Reserve 2 tablespoons drippings in pan.
  4. Crumble bacon and set aside.
  5. Saute onion in drippings until tender.
  6. Combine all ingredients in 3-quart casserole.
  7. Bake 30 minutes or until heated through.
