German Style Carrots offer tender, sweet carrots infused with herbs and onions, perfect as a savory side for family dinners or holiday meals.

Ingredients

  • 5 or 6 sliced carrots
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 medium sliced onion
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place oil in a saucepan, then add sliced carrots and top with sliced onion.
  2. Sprinkle sugar, herbs, salt, and pepper over the vegetables.
  3. Put the lid on the pan and simmer for 20 minutes or until tender.
  4. Do not add water during cooking.
  5. If necessary, add a little oil.
