  • 1 jar Kraft Marshmallow Creme or 1 (10 1/2 oz.) pkg. marshmallows
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, margarine, and evaporated milk in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly.

Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier texture, consider using butter instead of margarine. If you prefer a nut-free version, simply omit the chopped nuts or substitute with seeds like sunflower seeds. To enhance the flavor, try adding a pinch of sea salt or a splash of almond extract. Make sure to stir constantly to prevent burning, especially as it approaches the boiling point.

Serving Suggestions

Cut the fudge into small squares and serve it on a decorative platter for a delightful treat. It pairs beautifully with coffee or milk, making it a perfect snack or dessert after meals. Consider serving alongside a scoop of Leona'S Ice Cream for a decadent combination. This fudge also makes a great gift during the holidays!

Storage & Reheating

Store leftover fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. For longer storage, refrigerate it, which can extend its freshness for up to a month. Allow the fudge to come to room temperature before serving for the best texture, as refrigeration can make it a bit firmer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a different type of chocolate for this fudge?

Absolutely! While semi-sweet chocolate chips are traditional, you can experiment with dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or even white chocolate for a unique twist. Just ensure you adjust the sweetness to your liking, especially if you choose a sweeter chocolate.

How do I know when the fudge is done cooking?

The fudge is ready when it reaches a soft ball stage, which occurs after boiling for about 5 minutes. You can test this by dropping a small amount into cold water; if it forms a soft ball that holds its shape, it’s done. Constant stirring is key to achieving the right consistency.

Can I freeze the fudge for later use?

Yes, you can freeze the fudge! Cut it into squares and wrap each piece tightly in plastic wrap, then place them in a freezer-safe container. It can be stored in the freezer for up to three months. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving for the best texture.
