Savory stuffed mushrooms filled with a flavorful mixture of onion soup, nuts, sherry, and Parmesan, perfect as an appetizer or party finger food for cheese and mushroom lovers.

Ingredients

  • 24 medium mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 3/4 cup dried bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/3 cup sherry
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Remove stems from mushrooms and chop them finely.
  2. In a medium pan, melt butter or margarine.
  3. Add chopped stems and cook until tender.
  4. Add onion soup mix, bread crumbs, sherry, and nuts; mix well.
  5. Fill mushroom caps with the mixture and place on a greased pan.
  6. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Broil for 5 minutes until golden and bubbly.
