Ingredients

  • graham crackers
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. finely chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Line ungreased jelly roll pan (not a cookie sheet) with square graham crackers.
  2. Melt oleo with brown sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil 3 minutes; remove from heat.
  3. Stir in chopped nuts.
  4. Pour mixture over graham crackers and spread until all are covered.
  5. Bake at 325° for 10 to 12 minutes.
  6. Watch carefully; do not brown.
  7. Top should bubble up well.
  8. Cut into bars (1/2 square) while still warm and remove to cooling rack. These freeze well and seem to disappear just as they come from the freezer without thawing.
