Ingredients

  • 3 cans French style beans
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 bacon strips

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onion in bacon drippings until translucent.
  2. Add French-style beans to the pan.
  3. Pour in the tomato sauce and cook very slowly for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add water from 2 cans of beans to the pan; drain the last can if not needed.
