Ingredients

  • 2 lb. halibut fillets
  • 1/4 c. white wine
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Slice halibut into fillets 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick and place in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour white wine over the fish and let it set for 30 minutes.
  3. Slice onion very thin and scatter over the fish.
  4. Mix mayonnaise and sour cream together and spread on top of the fish.
  5. Sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. Bake at 400°F until the fish is just set, being careful not to overcook.
