Ingredients

  • 4 medium onions, sliced
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes

Instructions

  1. Place onions and water in saucepan. Cover and cook over medium heat until tender, about 12 minutes. In another saucepan, combine sugar, flour, salt and vinegar. Stir until smooth. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Stir in butter until melted. Drain onions and add to sauce. Sprinkle with parsley. Yields 5 servings.
